I am so very blessed to have these lovely ladies in my life.
Five generations of wonderful women that I am privileged to be a part of.
(Top-Grandma, Great Grandma, Middle-Mom, Me, Bottom-Autumn)
Yesterday we celebrated my great-grandma's 91st birthday. Which is truly amazing!
She kept telling the kids she was actually turning 19-what a hoot. She said to me"Just think, I've lived almost 100 years." I told her how amazing that was and she responded with "Well, it's better than the alternative." She was on a roll yesterday. Which was so great considering she has become so quiet lately. Her memory is not like it used to be. She had taken a considerable fall last year and she sold her house to downsize to an apartment. I really hope and pray for many more years with this special lady. May God bless her with health and sustenance this year. Love you Gram!

My favorite time of the day was when we were opening cards and presents and we were passing around the HILARIOUS card about what women think about their ASS (Sorry about the profanity but that's what the card said) and Lorenzo didn't know what it meant because he knows the word BUTT, so Great Grandma slaps (or lightly hits) her butt and says "Ass" to Lorenzo! It was hilarious!
It was hilarious. She was so funny that day. Makes me smile thinking about it!
What a precious photo of all of you. I think five living generations in one family is quite rare these days. You're all so pretty too. A wonderful post!
BTW, it's nice to meet you. :~D
Blessings, e-Mom @ Chrysalis
sounds like a fun day! She is such a wonderful woman..wish I could've been there to celebrate with her. I love that picture of you all. :)
I have an 89 year old adoptive grandmother and I am always in awe of the wisdom and knowledge she shares. What a lovely family you have and the resemblence that is weaved through all your smiles.
How beautiful! You should all do a commercial for Dove or Ponds lotion.
Grins!
That is a great post and what a precious photo.
I can't find an e-mail for you, but you offered to share your Irish Soda Bread recipe with me, and I would indeed love to have it. Thank you so much for your kindness. (My e-mail is on my profile, or you can use the comments if you prefer.) I can't wait to try it out! I'll let you know how we love it. :-)
